“Now you have made your promise and you WILL keep it.”

“I’m not even sure how to go about doing that! I’m going to have to give it some thought!”

“You have two hours until I return,” the villain warned him, “when I do you will have a way.” He vanished leaving no evidence that anyone had ever been there.

The author ran his fingers through his hair. He stood up and walked into his bedroom once more. He arosed his wife.

“Why are you still up honey?” she mumbled.

“I just wanted to say…Goodbye.” he said and before she could respond he walked out of the room. He had to leave. He grabbed his laptop and a coat then wrenched the door open.

The night was frigid but he had to keep moving. Even though he was a grown man tears rolled down his cheeks. He opened his laptop and began to type.

The villains iminent death was drawing near…

And then he was choking. All he needed was sweet air! Every fiber of his being was screaming in protest.

“I wouldn’t do that.” the villain whispered.
