A Stormy Farewell

“Don’t worry, Honey, when my guitar and I make history New York, you won’t have to worry about anything anymore. I’ll make a new life for us, and when people laugh, just laugh along, because we have something they don’t.” Without saying a word, Honey watched her beloved fiance, Blake, walk out the door into the rain. He drove away in his beat up car, and still without a sound she rose form her seat at the window. A silent tear rolled down her cheek.
If only her mother was still alive to calm her aching heart. Honey remembered the day she first met Blake. It was in the summer time, and she was on vacation in Cape Cod. The moment she set eyes on Blake, they knew it was true love. His words were so soft, so touching, and so gentle. The thought of the way he had wrapped his arms around her when everything was normal made her cringe. All she wanted was her life back. It was her father who had kicked Blake out. It was her father who had said he would never be good enough without money.
