Crystal Waters
The yacht lurched, making a metallic gurgling noise as it began to submerge. It was now tilted at about a 47 degree angle and the ocean’s smooth surf was now gliding across the polished decks on the port side of the glamorous vessel. The fierce sun of that tropical day beat down on the tragedy occurring below.
Ryan and Gwen were opposite the sinking side, danging by a thread. Swift moving shadows swam in the depths. The screaming from the decks above pierced the air, while shards of glass rained down on them from the shattering balcony doors above.
“Let go! It can’t hold both of us!â?she screamed, as the sheets began to tear.“NOW!â? she demanded. Should I sacrifice myself, for her? He reluctantly obeyed his conscience, loosening his grip, but hesitated. Instead he swung at her, socking her dead in the face. The force of the punch cause their bodies to swing on the strained fabric and slam into the hull with a thud. She was stunned from the pain, her hands clawed desperately…she plummeted to the water.
