Choices

Kamaria didn’t know what to do. Suffer the possibility of dying, or survive this insane experiment that they needed to perform on her.

“Look Kamaria,” Aedin said as he gently wiped the tear falling down her cheek. “We know this sounds crazy, but we’re not trying to make you a guinea pig for our entertainment. You really are our last hope. You can fullheartedly deny this request if you want.”

All of a sudden Aedin growled to one of the vampires behind him who then proceeded to glower back at him. Kamaria suddenly had a sense of what had just happened. She looked around the room at the other vampires and noticed their hungry faces staring back at her. Although Aedin said she could refuse, she knew that the other vampires would be reluctant to just let her go when she was their last hope. There really was no way out of this. She would do it.

“Thank you,” whispered Aedin as he pulled away from her and let the old man take his place.
