Julie and Shiloh's First Show Jumping Competition
It was the biggest show in months. I was ready for it. I had trained for this for 2 months. I can do this. I put on my riding gear and grabbed my saddle. I put my saddle on my Thoroughbred gelding horse, Shiloh. He seemed a little nervous, probably because I was. I told him we would be fine and patted him on the neck. “Julie, please report to the arena, Julie, please report to the arena.” I suddenly heard. I walked Shiloh out of the barn and mounted him. We trotted about 10 steps into the arena and took off at a nice and gentle canter. Over the first jump we went. Over all the jumps heading for the end we went. We were clear! It was a perfect round for us.
