An Unnatural Coma : Part 4

In the window I climbed and with a sigh of relief brushed myself off. I was now in the room alone with the seemingly lifeless body. I walked over to the door and locked it. I walked back over to his bedside. Beep, beep, beep said the machines rythmically. I wish they’d shut up. I just started into his eyes not sure where he really was, the swirling lights in his eyes were not of that in this room. He was somewhere….. somewhere…... else.
“Desperate times call for desperate measures.” I said to myself.
“Don’t do it!” my conscience replied to my insanity.
I brought my hand to his head as if to feel for a fever. The room felt like it was grayer and gloomier than it had been moments before. He was laying in a bed on one side of the room the machines surrounding his bed. The bed on the other side lay empty. I grabbed at tubes connecting to his body and began slowly removing them as if not to cause pain. When I noticed a bandage on the underside of his wrist. Just then the doorknob rattled franticly.
