Nothing To Hide
I couldn’t tell what had fallen so I reached to get it but Jason shoved me away. “I said get out.â? He hissed as I rolled onto my back on the floor. Jason grabbed whatever fell, put it back behind the pillow and stood over me.
“Don’t touch me!â? I snapped, sitting up.
“That was a reflex. Sorry.â?
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever! What’s behind the pillow, Jason?â? I stood up and was about to run past him but he grabbed me, his arms tightening around mine.
“You won’t care about it. It’s nothing important. Let’s go to the park.â? He let me go.
“The park?!â? I screamed, “The park?! Why so you can make me forget about this?! So you can cover up whatever you’re trying to hide?!â?
I ran past him again and pushed the pillow to the floor. Behind it were three pot baggies in a Ziploc. And then Jason was on top of me. He was only on top of me but it felt like he was pinioning me to the bed. His face was inches away from mine.
I huffed as his body crushed me. “Nothing to hide, right?â?
