Choices
Collin told me little details but I really only got some words out of him. I heard: drugs, Jason’s fault, stupid, you, me and love before the door bell rang. With the phone perched on my shoulder, I answered the door without hesitation. Bad decision.
It was Jason.
I hear Collin in the background, asking what was wrong but then I closed the phone. I stepped out of the way as Jason walked in. “Give it, Allie.â? He said in a bored tone.
“Jason, why can’t you just explain to me what is going on?â? I pleaded, leaning on the arm of the couch.
“Didn’t Collin just tell you all of it?â? he hissed and I shook my head. Wonder how he guessed I was talking to Collin. Or maybe it’s obvious. “Just give me my phone, Allie. I don’t want to hurt you. You know that.â?
“Do I?â?
“I’m serious, Allie. Don’t be shitting around with me.â? I held the phone, contemplating my choices. Get back at or give it up.
