Not even a week after the distress signal, the fifty original rovers returned….two years early. They all crash landed in Russia, and started destroying the Earth. They destroyed electric lines, sewage systems, and countless houses.

Military forces in the area tried to destroy the rovers, but it seemed that they had been modified to the point of….regeneration. Witnesses stated that something was controlling the rovers, something had leeched itself onto it. Something.

These new machines were nearly indestructible; they scrapped destroyed tanks and fixed themselves. The machines had left half the world in devastation. They were slowly making their way underwater to the Americas, but they had been building something. A tower.

That tower is the reason for the machine’s first downfall, but the initial success was not without serious consequences.
