A first time for everything
The sun set hours ago, but it was still light as day on their patch of grass. Thanks, Franklin High, for wasting the energy it takes to keep the floodlights of the stadium turned on at four in the morning. Carly snickered at the thought, but her smirk turned into a wince as she took another pull from the bottle.
Hey, at least it was cheap.
She giggled again, leaning over far enough that she landed, resting her head on Maggie’s shoulder.
“Who – who knew this could be so fun?” She slurred, searching for the right words. Maggie just rolled her eyes.
“You ain’t seen nothin’ yet,” Maggie scoffed, her chin tipping as she attempted to give Carly a haughty glare. What a newbie. It wasn’t that she had some master plan in mind, it was just…who got excited over getting a little liquored up? The alcohol was just the means of getting to the fun.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Carly asked, her brows pinching together in confusion.
“You’ll see.” Maggie would think of something. She always did.
