Stolen Life [Theme Song Challenge]
The quicksilver light of the moon cast sable shadows all around her, encircling her head, and brushing a blanket of leaves around her body.
Where the wave of moonlight glosses…
She remembered the white car, and swerving off the road. She had gone crashing through windshield, desperately trying to break her fall with her hands.
It hadn’t succeeded.
She couldn’t move.
Now all she could hear was the gargled flowing of a brook.
Come away, oh, human child, to the waters and the wild…
For a moment, from the tip of her peripheral vision, she saw the flash of a bonfire and heard a peal of laughter, but it disappeared, like the phantasm it was, into the gloom.
Weaving olden dances, mingling hands and mingling glances…
She could feel the fabric of life coming loose in her hold. She didn’t want to go.
Not yet.
She didn’t want to leave from within the folds of a hunter green forest.
Whilst the world is full of troubles, and is anxious in its sleep…
No. No sleep.
Away with us he’s going…
