We left the school and the fresh air an sunshine was invigorating!

I decided to just listen to Cam and Ed, get a feel for what was really going on.
“So, I need you to help me get past the Briny Deep Warlock, so I can unlock the Dark Shield of Ratfink.”
“Sure, Ed! First we have to walk Beth home.”
“What’s up with you two? I mean last week Beth didn’t exist! No offense.” I shrugged.
“Well, I uh, asked her to the dance.”
“Whoa! Since when do you dance?” Ed jibed. Cam blushed a little and swung playfully at him. Ed dodged easily and laughed.

“So are you two like a couple, now?”
“Well..” Cam looked at me.
“Let’s just start with the dance, okay?” I blushed and smiled. I didn’t want to admit my infatuation in front of Ed. And Cam looked pleased with this suggestion, after all he had warlocks to defeat!

We arrived at my house too soon. “Here I am! Thanks guys for walking me home!” I was overly friendly; a display of willingness to conform for him.

“Later!” said Ed and he started walking.
“Bye Beth,” Cam breathed.
