Residing Dreams (Chapter 188)

When I considered everything; truly thought about the essence of my life and the dreams which resided inside of everyone, one thing was clear. Traditionalism was something not I nor those around me could ever achieve. It was a lifestyle that none of us had lived; a mold we could never completely fill. Sometimes we forgot what we would never be like, as well as all that we were capable of becoming. My father could be free and joyful again, and Casimir could experience life. He could see the world and all of the unexpected surprises it had to offer. But both of them had a long way to go, as did myself. I recalled the day when Casimir was laying in bed, with the IV in his arm. “There are lots of things that aren’t supposed to happen, yet they still do,” I had said to him. That fact was forever true us, in a sense. But I thought back to all of the times my father had told me that everything happened for a reason, for it was all a part of God’s plan.
