Trick Or Treat

Janet sat on the floor against the door, her hair a mess and her make-up running from tears. Her husband laid sprawled out across the floor near her, he was bleeding from the head and motionless. The room was dimly lit, she could barely see with the moonlight filtering through the closed shades. She was to afraid move out from in front of the door to open them. She heard childrens laughter from down the hall on the other side of the door. She remained silent but tears streamed down her face. The laughter went silent. She sat against the door and let out a sigh. A coat hanger was then slammed through the door. Janet began to cry as more and more holes appeared and the door pounded. What a perfect Halloween night.
