“You know, Lu, I’ve been thinking. Maybe it’s time to shake things up a bit.â?
Lu set down his coffee calmly and eyed Jo suspiciously. The old man NEVER wanted to shake things up. “What’d you have in mind?â?
“It’s been a while since we did anything together, you and I, and it might be time to coordinate our efforts.â?
“It seems to me that, while I do enjoy these little chats we have, our goals are quite disparate. What’s the catch?â?
“No catch. We both know, in the end, I’ll come out on top, so why not have a little fun along the way?â?
“Hmm. Intriguing proposition. I have been thinking about doing something big lately.â?
“It’s not time for HIM yet!â? Jo said forcefully.
“No, not HIM . Not yet. I’m thinking a it’s a good time for a calamity, something unique. Wars are so overdone. Plagues are just blase. We haven’t have a good economic depression in a while. Maybe it’s time to burst that bubble.â?
Jo sipped thoughtfully. “Alright. One condition. HE waits another 100 years.â?
