what a downer.

I stared at him blankly, wondering if he’de take it as a cue to come over, or if he would pretend he didn’t see me like he often did. His eyes flickered to my face for the shortest second, than quickly returned to his shoes. He looked up again, and headed over.
“Hi.” I said, with the deepest sincerety in my voice.
“hey.” He pulled me into the tightest hug, and traced cirles on my back.
“I really miss talking to you.” I said, unwilling to let go, because whenever I did I lost him.
He dropped his arms, and positioned himself in front of me.
“I miss you too Syd.” He smiled, and I actually felt sick with happiness. God I missed him. I missed him with every inch of my soul, I dont even care how corney that sounds.
It was quiet for a minute, until I noticed him jerk his head in the opposite direction.
He inhaled, hey, well listen. Ericas waiting for me.. Good seeing you though.”
“Yeah, you too. Bye.”
I waved pitifully, and dragged myself toward my fourth period class.
