That’s a depressing fact, Wyatt. Way to ruin a nice walk in the woods. I like the way the beginning ties to the end with the reiteration of how hard it is to see anything. Felt very real and in the moment.

Spooky photo.. you made it spookier with your words… fog is intriguing and mysterious as was ur ficlet.

Sorry about the dying in the forest bit. I guess it came from reading ficlets late at night and drinking wine. It was really well done.
