Encounter with the Vampire ll
I engorged myself, holding the girl down until I’d had my fill, she had begged for her life but, the pleading fell on deaf ears. I remember before my first feed, how I had a slight twinge of regret.
During that time, I still had a semblance of humanity or, maybe just a memory. I’d hesitated and the prey ran. Michael had always fed me but now, he denied me. He caught the prey and fed, the eyes begged, but only for a moment.
Although I was starving, I refused to feed. He tied me to my bed and left me there. I don’t know how long.
Vampires don’t see time as a normal human. Time does not fall into seconds, minutes, hours. Time is a portal for us, a catalyst, propelling us into each new future and we adapt to the different mores^, fashions and fads of the day.
I did realize what I had become, what I had allowed myself to be, a monster, something abhorent, an abomination in the eyes of man and, god, still, my thought was only of the next feeding. I lay down and wait for night.
