Think up just one starting sentence before you sit down to write. That way you can write that sentence instantly when the blank page pops up, and even if nothing else follows that one sentence, at least you will have conquered the blank page. Big things can be achieved through small goals. Sometimes I see the end result of a big goal before I see the small steps it takes to accomplish it and it bogs me down and discourages me. But when I focus on each individual step it always becomes manageable.
