Vampire in the making, or always was?

I liked the possibilities and the voice, so I did a little sequel. I didn’t push the story very far, so it’s still fairly open as to exactly what could be going on.

Wow, that’s subtle. The whole story seems like it never falls or rises, just stays in a straight simple line, and in this case it works well.

I love how the ending fits the context of the story, but also feels a bit surprising. That single last line is almost a story in itself. What would make him do such a thing? What will happen? I’m very intrigued.
