Riley walked in a sat in the seat right in front of me, “Something looks wrong with you? What happened?”
“Sarah…I think we should break up.”
A loud groan escaped Riley’s lips, “You guys have the most bipolar relationship ever! I mean, honestly, every other day you guys are breaking up. All the other days are when you make up.” I looked at her with a miserable expression and her eyes softened, “Sorry, that was mean of me. Do you want a hug?” Riley asked, extending her arms.
“Never.” I stated. I actually would have given anything for a hug from Riley, but I was afraid I wouldn’t let go of her.

“So…I’m guessing you don’t want to hear the update on Alec and I?” I gave her a pained expression that said no.

After that fateful day in English Alec asked Riley out, who of course said yes. They have seen each other almost every day since then. They were insepearable. It was nauseating to me.

And hearing each little update was painful in the sense that it wasn’t me she was talking about, but him.
