Heart Break at Midnight

Ding Dong. The grand clock thundered away. I clutched my bed sheets, it was midnight. However much I tried I couldn’t fall asleep. Robin’s face kept apearing in my mind, and his voice echoed in my ears.
“Evy!” I imediately sat up. His voice shook me, my breathing becoming shallow. My door creaked open. I felt my heart melt as I caught sight of his familiar form.
“Robin! What are you-”
“Shhh,” He whispered. “Why did you leave me this morning?”
“I had to, my father was so terribly mad.” My voice shook. He came over, his lips twisted in worry. His hand touched my cheek.
“No!” I suddenly screemed. My drained voice shook the room. I was suddenly afraid I had woken my father. Robin took me almost violently into his arms. I wriggled away, my lungs on fire, my throat dry.
“Whats wrong love,”
“Leave,” I was a bit shocked at how strong my voice came. He pulled away slowly, his eyes showing hurt.
“Evy?”
“My name is Evelyn,” I spoke. “And I have ordered you to leave” Without a word he walked out the door.
