Divided & Intertwined
Jack was there, right, there.
Anna heaved a huge breath & fell against the short fence. Jack ran over to her & slipped one arm around her waist & one under her arm.
“Anna can you stand?”
“Jack?” she whispered, so confused. She wanted to believe it. She needed to believe it.
Jack stopped to just look at her. Her pale, thin, face with absolutely no color other than her blue eyes.
Anna, slowly, placed each of her hands on the sides of Jack’s face. Seeing him was one thing, feeling him was another.
She hadn’t felt anything for three months. Not emotionally, or physically. And now, out of nowhere, she had all of it, right back in her hands.
“Anna, Anna I’m here. I’m right here.”
“Oh God!” Anna heaved another sob
& she fell limp in Jack’s arms.
“Anna I’m here I’m here!”
“Oh God! Jack!” she cried & clinged to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck tightly.
“Shh, Anna I’m here! I’m right here,”
Anna cried in a whisper, “Don’t leave me Jack..oh God! Jack please..”
