What to Do

There was almost nothing in the first hallway, it was dimly lit by flickering flourescent lights like you might see in a horror movie. The stairs were eerie too, echoing each of Perry’s footsteps with bone-chilling resonance.

At the next landing, Perry faced two doors: one blue, one black. Replaying the directions in his mind, Perry reached for the knob of the black door, hesitated, then pulled it open.

The room was strark white with one chair in the center. What was he supposed to do next? Thoughtlessly, Perry walked toward the chair to have a seat and remember what he had to do next. Upon sitting in the chair, he instantly found himself in a dusty room. Light streamed in from the dirty window to light up the face of a man leaning against the wall.

“What are you doing here newby?”

“I just, I got lost I guess,” Perry replied.

“Don’t feed me lies, bub. I don’t like the taste of bullshit,” the man growled.

Perry rose and sat down again when the man stepped forth. He was back in the white room.
