Isabelle’s parents were fighting about the electricity bill again.
“If you didn’t leave your stupid computer on all day and night this bill would be much lower! Here I am, trying to conserve energy, leaving the lights and T.V. off and you’re leaving your computer on!â€? Caroline Hiew, Isabelle’s mother, shouted angrily at her husband.
“It’s not my fault I have a great invention coming along! Unlike some of us, I use my imagination and brain all day!â€? Quinn Hiew’s face was bright red from anger. He hated it when Isabelle’s mother talked about his invention that way.
“Oh sure! Pick on my job why don’t you! I’m the one who pays the rent around here! If it wasn’t for me we’d be out on the streets!â€?
“Well I’d rather be out on the streets than in here with you!â€? Quinn poked Isabelle roughly on the shoulder and she glared maniaclly back at him.
