Friends? (Fly Challenge)
“Hey guys.”
The group of tight huddled kids looked up at Jason. “Oh, it’s you.”
“Can I join your group?” Jason asked.
The “leader” smirked and nodded. “Sure, go ahead.”
So for the rest of recess, Jason hung out with the popular people. He was feeling good – after six years of discrimination, they had finally accepted him. Now he was one of the top class. he smiled to himself. When the bell rang, he ran ahead of them to tell his best friend.
But before he reached Benny, he heard all-out laughter. “Did you see Jason?” the girls squealed.
“Like, I know! His fly was totally down!”
Jason blushed deeply and snuck to a corner where he righted himself. Completely humiliated, he hung his head and went to his next class.
