Residing Dreams (Chapter 220)
I giggled sheepishly. We had never spoken of
‘the Talk’ before. Casimir’s pale cheeks were turning red too. “Oh, my father told me when I was about six. He said that when two people loved each other very much, they concieved a special gift called a child. And then he went into all the details,” I concluded. This matter was one of the few things that Casimir and I found awkward to talk about when with each other. So I changed the subject. “The hard thing is, back to my father, he’s always strived to follow God’s laws. The Catholic church doesn’t approve of homosexuality. And we don’t want to go against our own religion. We just can’t do that. I know my father felt so terrible about the feelings which resided inside of him. But he couldn’t change them. He wasn’t oversexed, and he certainly wasn’t perverted, as many said he was. My dad wasn’t hurting anybody, but it’s still considered wrong. I guess this just goes to show that even if we try our best, none of us are perfect people,” I said.
