Too Weak to Defy
Everywhere I walked in the town of our’s, Willow was somehow there. She showed off her engagement ring like it was some show pig at a state fair.
And it seemed like she was doing it on purpose, because everytime she did it she looked at me with a michievious grin.
And after what seemed like the billionth time she showed the rock off to other people she finally walked up to me and stuck her hand out, “Isn’t it gorgeous?”
I couldn’t talk for fear of breaking into tears, so I merely nodded. She continued, “To think that this could be yours. Now if only you were strong enough to defy people for what you want. But you’re not strong now are you?”
I looked at her right into her cold grey eyes, “No.”
She laughed, “I was right. I think that’s what he found so sweet about you. You’re weak. But now he knows what a real woman is like and has forgotten about you.”
Then Willow flipped her straight, long, elegant blonde hair and walked away from me, taking my heart with her.
