Now We Are Five...

We came home and Lyn stitched and cleaned me up. Allie and I enjoyed the rest of the summer together.

But then Allison began going somewhere called Kindergarten. She would be gone for hours at a time, and when she returned home she would spend more time reading books or playing with new friends and less time with me.

The Bigs were teaching Allison new things, but at the same time they were making her forget how to See. All I could do was watch helplessly from the bookshelf as Allison grew up.

And then Allison stopped Seeing me at all, and I went from the bookshelf in her room to a box in the basement.

That was ten years ago.
