Suprise
I began to cry, fearing the end was near. I tried to take a deep breath to calm myself, to face my death with somedignity. I wiped my eyes, and turned. “Nick!” I cried, my hand flying to my mouth to cover my suprise. “Holy shit, you scared the hell out of me! Why didn’t you call my name instead of chasing me!?” He smiled, and grabbed my hand. “I didn’t mean to scare you. Sorry about that. But I heard someone screaming, and it sounded like you. I got to your corner in time to watch you run through the trees, so I follwed. I didn’t want you out here alone..” He looked down at our hands intertwined, then back up at me. His warm hazel eyes showed stress, but I had no idea how to comfort him. I stood there, and then shivered; I sneezed. He looked at me, and frowned.”Are you cold?” He asked me, looking me up and down. He let go of my hand and shrugged out of his sweatshirt. He handed it to me. I smiled, and put it on. It smelled like him. I smiled and grabbed his hand. “Come on,” I said. “Let’s go home.”
