Flashing Lights

The lights of the rave whirled, I listen to the techno music making my eardrums bounce with it’s beat. People are dancing and raving. Their glowsticks so pretty in their hands as they cut through the air in the darkness. Everything is in slow motion. The stage lights flash and the strobes bring an unrealistic movement to everything. My drink was spilled on me, it smelled like lemon. My heart was racing, I loved it. The glowsticks in my hand shone, but they were still unlike the other people.
“So pretty.” I thought to myself.
The lights kept whirling and blurred together. They danced and danced the night away. The beat evolved into a new song in an endless loop. People’s yelling all sounded the same. Then somebody yelled.
“Oh my god somebody help, there is someone on the floor!” they screamed over the music.
I saw a face lingering over me. There were more flashing lights of different colors, Red and White. It all went black. I was in Ecstasy.
