Moving On Never Hurt So Much..
I walked to my locker after eight period. I spun my combination, threw my bag on the floor, and got all my books needed for the night. “Lace, I’ve got to tell you something.” I looked over Anabell, and answered, “Sure, just let me get my things ready, all right? My mom’s coming to get me today, I’ve got time to talk.” I shoved my books into my bag, and snapped my locker shut. I walked over to her, and said, “Alright, I’m all yours. What’cha got to tell me?” She looked at me, hurt clear in her brown eyes. I began to dread her next few words. “Well, I met up with James today, after seventh period, right? And he told me he was going to ask out that girl Alex. He didn’t want to tell you though.” I stared at Anabell, not hearing her words. Realitly seemed to fade away. “He what..?” I asked, confused. Tears welled up into my eyes. “Oh, Lacey, I’m so sorry. I feel terrible.” She stood and gave me a hug. “Can you walk me out today? I don’t want to be alone.” She nodded. I put my head against my locker and sobbed.
