A Glimmer of Hope on the Losing Side of the Battle
Everyone hated me at school. Everyone. Well, I did have close friends. But they never dared talk to me in school. I was branded. I was stuck alone in a ocean of hate, slowly drowning.
And as I sat in math again trying to pay attention people were sending me more thoughts.
Can’t believe she still has the guts to show her face here.
She should so be expelled. Convincing someone to kill themself is pretty close to murder if you ask me.
Jeez, she must feel terrible. All of these people hating her. Someone should talk to her in some way. I was shocked by that thought. Seth still thought of me that way, even through this Bianca craze.
The teacher told us to work in pairs, which meant I work alone. Even Noel passed, though she gave me a sympathic look.
I heaved a sigh and began working on the mathwork.
“Want some help?” I heard someone ask. I looked up to see Seth giving me a slight smile. I knew he meant more that mere mathwork.
“Yes,” I said, trying to repress my sigh of relief.
