Bad Start
Okay, I admit it. I’m a jerk.
I strode down the hallway, my head, up, thinking, just maybe, that if I acted confident and neutral then they wouldn’t notice. That was plan A.
Sniggers.

I sighed with relief as I felt the warm September air on my face. I walked over to the bike rack, my stride less pronounced and sluggish, now that I knew no one was watching.
I slowly unlocked my bike and straddled it, pushing off to get a good start.
Really, that’s all you needed. A good start.
And I had had a super bad start.
