Vitualous, however, did not fall asleep. His positive and upbeat spirit was simply a facade to hold his brother’s head up. Inside he was terrified and shaking. He had always protected his younger brother; ever since he was little. Vitualous and Solvus were born as slaves. Their parents, full bread Romans, were slaves and so the same fate was placed upon them. They always watched out for their sons and always were there.
