Forever Lasting Love
Remember this spot.
You sat over by that rustic car.
The swing set use to hang there by the car, I remember us carving our names into the tree.
Forever lasting love, you once said to me.
I didn’t break my promise.
I know it’s hard for you to understand.
But time has passed us by.
So much has happened.
I don’t even know where to start; I now have a family.
I named a girl after you; it was hard for my wife to accept.
She soon after realized it wasn’t only love that bounded us, but faith as well.
My daughter is everything to me.
I can’t even explain how much she truly means towards my life. I know it wasn’t long ago where I feared the very thought of a family, but time has changed me. I got to think it had everything to do with you. I guess I keep regretting not calling you when I woken up that faithful mourning. I wasn’t able to tell you how much I love you. So here I am today. Hoping for you to see how much I do love you. So please rest in peace my love. Soon we will be together once again.
