My “Proper” Entry:

Oh, you great haiku,
Why are you so hard to write?!
At least it’s done now.

My Defiant Entry:

What’s up with poetry,
I do not know.
At times I just can’t
Make words flow.
Sometimes I can
Sometimes I can’t.
My brain and heart
Sometimes bant-
Er over which words
sound “the best”
and which words
have no contést
In the phrase
sitting with the rest
But I digress,
For I think it best
Ending this lousy poem
But don’t you say
I didn’t “show’em.”
