“We’re all going to help in the war effort.” Jane said stoutly.
“But you didn’t want anything to do with it before.” Andy retorted.
“Things have changed. Think of it as helping Petey.”
“I don’t wanna help Petey! He lied. He’s a damn liar!” Jane covered the mouth of her eight-year old brother. After calming down, she began to whisper.
“Petey did this best as he could while he was here. It can to the point that he couldn’t help us anymore by staying. Only by going could he make a difference in this world.”

Jane walked to the factory alone. We’re all going to help. I’ll do my part on the homefront. All day long, she assembled guns. These wretched things. She thought.
