o.k. this isn’t really a ficlet, I’m just THRILLED ! Freaking ecstatic! For the first time in a really long time I am PROUD to be an American! The latent racist assholes are actually only a minority. I’m shocked. I expect the worst of people due to long sad experience, but tonight I have hope. All you ficleteers who are to young to vote, remember this day! The glass ceiling for black Americans has finally got a hole in it. After 400 years of oppression and 40 years of lip service, equality is now a real possibility. Be proud of this.
