Five Months
It was five months.
Five months past when he was supposed to be with her. Five months, two birth control shots, two graduations, and a summer in South Florida since he was supposed to be with her.
But was she resentful? No, not at all. She loved him, how could she ever be mad? She completely understood every reason he had for not being out to her yet.
She just wished he would come soon. She was starting to really need him. More than ever before.
It wouldn’t take much. Just a casual thought. That would be it and she would be unable to think of anything other than him, or do anything that wasn’t concerned with him.
And the best she could do to stop it was to take a nap. Take a nap to reset her brain so maybe she could get some work done before she entered the same state again.
He said he’d be with her before another two months were up.
...But how much faith could she really put in that?
She’s willing to bet it all on hope.
