“Oy, friends or foes?”
“We be friends as we conquer the beasts.” The Serpents had slipped back into the water. They had to act now.
“How many powderkegs do you boys have on board? I have a plan.” Within the next moments their crews were jumping between the frigate and the ship getting the dorry skiffs on both water crafts ready, as well as loading the frigate and ship with powderkegs. The serpents returned, and the crew became anxious and sweaty as they waited for their signal. Bloody Jenny taunted the beasts with bullets and some of the other crewmates did likewise, including the captain. One serpent slipped into the water to go after the ship, while the other prepared to strike. “Now mates, now!” They hopped on the the readied dories and the the cannons were fired creating a giant explosion just as the giant beast made its strike. A nasty aroma filled the air and seconds later a second exlposion sounded from the other watercraft as the smell worsened.
The crews couldn’t be happier.
