So true Rain, about how pointless it would be if everything was either perfect or the opposite extreme (honestly, I can’t think of a good antonym for perfect, help me out). Good job pleading the almighty’s case here.

The thesaurus suggests imperfect (DUH) but that isn’t really the exact opposite. I don’t know. I don’t think anyone really knows.

Are we talking about the god of the Christian Bible? The one who cleansed the Earth of non-believers through a world-wide flood?
I’ve never been able to buy into this argument. It’s traipsed about to absolve god of the bad in the world. I’m sorry, but you can’t praise him for the good and not chastise him for the bad. He’s either responsible for both or neither.
If a perfect life gives us no incentive to live, why is Heaven the ultimate destination?
Regardless of my disagreement, I appreciate the reply.

I’m not praising him for only the good, I’m saying he doesn’t really control the bad or the good. And the Bible sort of bothers me. I mean, would a “God” of any kind need to explain himself through a book? The Bible is written by people, not the big guy himself.
As for the Heaven part, I don’t know if I buy into the idea that everything is perfect, maybe jsut easier. If there are really people who are good enough to be there, even saints are human and are bound to cause problems.
This is only my ideal.
