Are you under 25? If yes, then the answer is probably no. The problem with true love at a young age is that you go through so many changes growing up. You will be a completely different person at 16, 18, 21, 25. The person you’re in love with at 16 will not be the same person at 23. Neither will you. It’s possible that you’ll love the new person, and it will be reciprocated, but it’s highly unlikely. But just because it’s not “true love” doesn’t mean it’s not worth experiencing, or isn’t special.
well in polite rebuttal I dated exclusively the man i married at a young age. Are we different now? sure, to some extent.. but we were true to ourselves when we were 17 and we are still true to ourselves now, thus making the center of our relationship truly us, the people we ARE , and that won’t change. We are best friends too, and have great communication. that’s VERY important. So when things do change, we talk about it and experience it together. I’m not as pessimistic as JP ;)
