Matt and Karissa whirled as they heard a scream. They were frozen for a moment, but then Karissa was running back across the parking lot screaming. “Brandy!”
Matt took off after her. He saw Jordan lying on the ground and a tall man that had Brandy around the waist and was trying to drag her into a van.
Karissa reached the van and tried to get the man off of Brandy, she nearly succeeded when another man jumped out of the van and grabbed her. Matt reached the scene then and kicked the man that held Karissa in the side of the knee.

“Dave!” The other man yelled. “I’ve got the girl let’s go!”

What is going on? Matt wondered struggling to get the guy on the ground.
He let go of Karissa and gave poor Matt a kick in the face. He went down hard. Then the men were in the van and driving away.
