A Wish For Change

Judith was average in every way possible. She lived in the average town of Bredford, England. Her grades were average; mostly As and Bs, with an occassional C.

Her height was normal. Brown hair of average length. In short, if it hadn’t been for the events of last summer, we, as castle faeries, would never have heard about her.

The first in a string of events leading to us was caused by Camilia. (Don’t fret dearest, it turned out to be a good thing.) Camilia had not erased the circle after her game of topsies, resulting in what mortals call a “faerie ring”.

Judith, alon with her friend Lucas Warshaw, was in the garden that day, and with her keen eyesight had spotted it right away.
“Luc! Look!” She pointed to the nearby woods. Lucas turned. “You are supposed to wish on faerie rings.” Lucas scoffed. The last time he had wished on anything was on his third birthday.
“I wish for change.” Judith whispered. And those words changed everything.
