The paddle boat and the late night mystery Pt.2

In a gruff rumbling voice he said, ” Get in the boat, ”
I had expected as much, so, one foot at a time I climbed in the paddle boat. Having my hands tied was not helping my ballance. I stumbled, I fell. And calmly he helped me up and sat me down on the plank. I gave him a kind smile, which he never saw because he would not look at my face. That scared me, why wouldn’t he look at my eyes? Was he afraid to look into the eyes of someone he was about to kill? My mind reeled.
