I couldn’t contain my thorough enthusiasm. “He’s here! He’s here! Oh, thank God! Thank goodness! I was so worried…but you’re okay! You’re alive. Oh, Casimir!â? I murmured, letting out a great sigh of relief.
“The boy will be fine; he just has to stay on the oxygen for a little while. He’s a survivor, that’s plain enough to see. He’s going to be alright, but it wouldn’t hurt to take him to the hospital to get him checked out. He’ll just have to take it easy the next few days,â? one of the firefighters said.

“Thank you,â? I whispered. I slowly walked over to Casimir, who turned his head to look at me. Though it was nearly impossible to hear him, I could’ve sworn I heard him whisper, “I love you, Essie.â? I took his hand and told him over and over that everything would be okay.
