Naive Souls

Shadows dancing across the stage of thought
Doesn’t one wonder why so tepidly
They dance? Is it the reason why they fought?
Or is it ‘cause they dance unfeelingly?

The Sun on their backs, the clouds overhead,
They should be laughing gaily, smiling too.
Shadows sing of woe and trouble, instead.
Ring the warning bells, leaving us so few.

Who knows what notions escape through their minds?
They are sincere beings looking for life.
Why should we influence what they shall find?
We will only contaminate with strife.

“Leave them to their own demiseâ€?, I conclude,
“Let them be happy, else would be too rude.â€?
