Taking Vee to lunch

Samuel tried to replicate on Tuesday all of his pre-lunch activities from Monday. He was trying, for the sake of his own psychological well-being, to make the two days as similar as possible. Stepping out of his office he could see Vee, standing by the back exit door wearing a mischievous grin. Though her dress at work was conservative, Samuel knew where the tattoo was hidden and how when her hair was up you could see the color of the week that she had died the lower portion of her hair. He had a sneaking suspicion there were more piercings than the array on her ears craftily hidden by her hair.
But he tried to not to think about all of that and smiled in a reserved way as they left the office and headed for his car. Doubts crept into his mind. His plan was to sit down to make sure there weren’t any problems after the incident. It was only as he was opening her car door that he realized the irony of asking an employee out to lunch in order to discuss a potential sexual harassment issue. He felt dumb.
