Do You Believeā¦?
I was lying on the floor with Felix, sharing a patch of warm sunlight. The storms of the morning had passed, and now a rainbow was clearly visible, arcing across the sky.
Felix turned over on his back, and waved a paw lazily in the air. “Do you believe we can reach right on up to the rainbow?” he wondered, dazedly.
I stopped chasing my tail and looked over at him. “Say what?”
“Do you believe in the colours you see when I smile?”
I stared. “What?” He just giggled and waved his paws in the air.
I shook my head. “I’ll tell you what I believe. I believe that you need to lay off the catnip.”
